Y.C. Yeng and David Ermer meet at Open House

Professor Y.C. Jenq of PSU's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, on the right, spoke with David Ermer of Opti-MS, one of the technology entrepreneurs who is developing a new mass spectrometer at the PSBA. Professor Yeng successfully identified a guest speaker for an upcoming lecture at the PSBA October Open House.

“I met Carol at a meeting. At the time, I was trying to create a course where student team would work in interested start-up firms. We set up student course projects with three companies; Perpetua, Aptiv, and Exit Games.

The experience was very good from both sides. I asked every one of the CEOs, and all said it was valuable for them. Many of the students had never seen anything like this before, and some of the more experienced students even got jobs out of the experience.

The PSBA has given Engineering and Technology Management students a practical entrepreneurship experience that would be difficult to obtain elsewhere. The PSBA staff was always helpful and flexible in meeting our needs.”
