Entrepreneurial Marketing:
Five Tools for Developing Market Power
Many new products are poorly conceived and fail to meet the true test of innovation--market acceptance. This lunch seminar by Dr. Bob Harmon of PSU will help entrepreneurs increase their chances of market success by developing a strategic marketing approach. Participants will learn how to:
- Focus on the development of the big idea
- Understand customer value drivers
- Exploit industry food chain dynamics
- Develop the strategy platform
- Choose the right metrics.
Dr. Harmon is Professor of Marketing and Technology Management at Portland State University. He teaches technology marketing and new product development courses in the MBA program and the graduate-level Engineering and Technology Management program.

He has over 20 years experience as a technology marketing consultant to companies in the software, computer, semiconductor, display, telecommunications and medical industries. He has worked with several startups and he currently serves on the advisory board for Lynguent, Inc., a start-up technology company located at the Portland State Business Accelerator. He also serves on the advisory board of the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at PSU.
